In October of 2015, we began the process of growing our vocational school by installing another location in East Liverpool, Ohio.
What used to be an Ogilvie’s Department Store and a Woolworth’s on the corner of 5th and Washington is now our newly renovated 35,000 square foot campus.
To celebrate our newest location, we hosted a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, November 11th. Attendees were treated to a Veterans Day Parade at 11 a.m., followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony and an open house in the afternoon.
Special guests at the ceremony included New Castle School of Trades President Rex Spaulding and East Liverpool Mayor Ryan Stovall. Both spoke about how this newest opening will increase the opportunities for both continuing education and pursuing jobs in the area.
“We’re not the pottery town that we were. That’s our history and we’re looking to our future, and this is the rebirth of it with education,” said Mayor Stovall remarking on the event.
