Your training will also prepare you for earning your electrician license, which may help you start earning the salary you deserve and even help you become your own boss. Completing these classes also means you may begin work immediately in positions such as panel builders and testers, utility maintenance mechanics, construction electricians and electronic technicians.

Our electrical training course will also familiarize you with the following types of professional equipment:

  • PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
  • Meters
  • Conduit benders
  • Motor control equipment
  • 3-phase motors
  • Oscilloscope
  • Digital power supplies
  • Breadboards

Once you complete our 60-week electrician education program, you'll be awarded with an Associate of Specialized Technology degree.

We don't just train you and send you on your way. Our career services office will help you find a paying apprenticeship.

How Much Can You Earn as an Electrician?

You can earn a very nice salary once you've completed our electrical training courses (and finished your on-the-job apprenticeship). The BLS reported that in 2008 electricians nationwide averaged $22.32 an hour.  "The lowest 10 percent earned less than $13.54, and the highest 10 percent earned more than $38.18," the BLS reported.

You can expect to make between 30 to 50 percent of the salary of a fully trained electrician during your apprenticeship, the BLS added.

As for your job prospects, the BLS projects that "[e]mployment of electricians should increase 12 percent between 2008 and 2018," adding that those with the "widest range of skills" should have the best prospects, particularly in "voice, data and video wiring."
