Commercial truck driving school will educate you with basic information about trucks, truck driving and the trucking industry. In addition, students are taught about the fundamentals of operating trucks and tractor-trailers.

Salary Information for Those with a CDL License


Indeed.com reports that truck drivers earn an average salary of $53,000 nationwide. Drivers in Pennsylvania earn $47,000, while drivers in Ohio earn an average of $50,000.
Dump truck drivers earn an average of $36,000 nationwide, according to Indeed.com. Those in Pennsylvania also earn an average of $36,000, while Ohio drivers earn an average salary of $34,000.
As for the future for those with CDL certification, the Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that "overall job opportunities should be favorable" for truck drivers. Job growth for heavy equipment operators, meanwhile, should be "average", according to the BLS.
