New Castle School of Trades does not just train students for the skilled trades; we actively connect them with employers before they leave campus.
How Does NCST Help Graduates Get Hired?
Career services are built into the program from enrollment through graduation and beyond. Three things set our job placement assistance apart:
A Network Built Over 80 Years
Since 1945, NCST has built relationships with hundreds of employers who trust the quality of our graduates. These companies sponsor labs and classrooms on campus, stay in touch about open positions, and return year after year to recruit.

On-Campus Recruiting
We regularly host employers who visit both the New Castle, PA, and East Liverpool, OH campuses to meet with graduating students. Recruiters share job openings, hand out applications, and conduct on-site interviews.
Professional Development Advising
Staff work one-on-one with students on resume writing, interview skills, and post-interview follow-up. Students leave campus prepared to represent themselves to any employer in their trade.
Career Services Support Includes
- Direct introductions to hiring contacts at partner companies
- NCST’s Annual Career Fair, where more than 100 employers in Ohio and Pennsylvania meet with students and graduates to fill open positions
- Opportunities to hear pay and benefits presentations directly from employers
- Ongoing support after graduation
Employer Partners
These employers visit our New Castle, PA and East Liverpool, OH campuses, work with instructors, and hire graduates. Some sponsor labs, hallways, and classrooms on campus, a reflection of their investment in the people coming out of our programs.
